This is a vintage one-gallon oyster can from J.C. Lore & Sons, Inc., a seafood packing company that was located in Solomons, Maryland. 
J.C. Lore & Sons was founded in 1888 by Joseph C. Lore Sr. and was one of the largest seafood pac
king companies in Southern Maryland. 
The company specialized in packing and shipping fish, crabs, and oysters from the Patuxent River. 
The J.C. Lore Oyster House, built in 1934, is a historic building that served as the company's seafood packing plant.
