New York Forest Preserve Sign

A old wooden framed New York Forest Preserve sign. The sign is made of a heavy canvas material. It does have some wear and hole. 
 
The New York Forest Preserve was created in 1885 to protect the state's vital Adirondack and Catskill watersheds from the environmental damage caused by rampant logging and clear-cutting. This public land is constitutionally protected as "forever wild"
under Article XIV of the New York State Constitution, a landmark measure passed in 1894.
